Five columns entitled "Fall City.", source not known. One signed by "ROVER." An attempt was made to put them in order by date, from the content. 1 - lists event on Dec. 1; also that Frank Hume returned, "still with white cloth around his little finger". (May be after column 2, which mentions his injury..) 2 - Date stamped: Dec. 14, 1901. "Frank Hume recently cut two fingers...very severely." Shingle mill closed until after the holidays. Seats moved into new schoolhouse. 3 - New schoolhouse turned over to the district. Baptist church gave a box social...raised $75 for a bell. 4 - Long program listed for Christmas celebration..Baptist church? 5 - Happy New Year to all. Mention of hauling brush for the river bank and driving piles to prevent more damage to the road in front of A.L. Rutherford's home. |
