3. Photo of (according to the sign) Larson Brothers Garage Auto Repair and Machine Shop. It appears that it might have been located next to the first Concrete Bridge, which opened in about 1918. More background information on Amel Larson is in the Accession folder. Ed Holmes shared this photo which appears to be in Fall City from an early scrapbook belonging to Pearl Larson in Preston.

5. Preston historian Edward Holmes shared this early photo with this comment: "The photo comes to me from Sweden via the granddaughter of a Swedish immigrant who worked in Preston from 1910 to 1931 and then returned to Sweden. I don't believe he was a photographer himself, but he collected a lot of Preston photos. This one is simply labeled as "High Trestle near Preston." That's really all I know. It looks somewhat like the one in the disaster picture but probably no way to know. I think Jim Berg shared it with the PNWR folks."

Autobiography of Norman Holmes, Preston WA - In honor of his father’s 90th birthday in 2013, Ed Holmes assembled an 110-page book entitled I’m a Little Norwegian Too: The Autobiography of Norman Holmes. In it, of course, is a lot of his own family’s history, but also much about other early families with many interesting photos from a wide variety of sources and lots of general Preston history.
